‘‘रत्ती ’’  को कितना जानते है हम? रत्ती भर डाटा जाया होगा, इसे पढऩे में 11 दिसंबर,(गुलशन उधम)।   ‘‘रत्ती भर भी अक्ल नही है, उसमें’’ं ।  इस लाइन को अक्सर सुना होगा आपने, अपने किसी बड़े से, दोस्त से या फिल्मों की दुनिया में। डोगरी में भी अक्सर रत्ती शब्द बहुत प्रचलित है। जैसे, ‘‘रत्ती फर्क नी पेया, बुखार दा। ’’  या फिर ऐसे सुना या कहा होगा। ‘‘मासा अक्ल नी, ऐ तीगी। ’’ तो इस तरह हम देखते है कि रत्ती, मासा शब्दों को अक्सर बोलचाल में इस्तेमाल किए जाते है है लेकिन रत्ती शब्द से हमारा मतलब क्या था।  रत्ती माने थोडा। लेकिन कितना थोड़ा? आज हम इसी को समझने की क ोशिश करते है।   ‘‘ रत्ती, माशा , तोला ’’ ये तीनों शब्द भार माप-तोल के इस्तेमाल में लाए जाते रहे है। तोला तो फिर भी सुनाई दे जाता है लेकिन रत्ती और माशा के बारे में जानकारी रत्ती भर ही मिलती है। दरअसल, रत्ती लाल-सुर्ख रंग क े साथ काले रंग का एक बीज है। जिसका प्रयोग भारत में पुराने समय में सोना-चांदी मापने के लिए किया जाता था। जिसकी तस्वीर भी यहां दी गई है। रत्ती भार मापने की सबसे छोटी भारती य इकाई...
