Tum Koi desh nahi ho,
Naa tum Hindostan ho,
Aur na Pakistan

Tum Ek Bulbla ho,
Kukoor ki muh se tapkta laar ho,
Aur mehaj kuch nahi ho..

Asli Bharat Gaav me Basta hai,
Sarhad pr Khada hai,
Is baqt
Khet me hal Jot rha hai,
Ped-podho ke ankoor bo rha hai
Factoriyo me Mashin chla rha hai,
Gaadiyo se anaaj
Jruratmand tak pahuncha rha hai,
Swariyo ko unke safr krva rha hai,
Shikshalyo me padh-pdha rha hai,
Maidan me khel rha hai,
Kapdo ko Bun rha hai,
Agaami pidhi k liye
Sahitya rch rha hai,
Bebaki se apni keh rha hai,
Aur sun rha hai..

Tum bilkul bhi nahi ho
Hindostan aur na ho Tum Pakistan,

Tum bas kachra ho,
Aur jald hi ek abhiyan
Swachta ka
Aam Jan bhi chalayenge,
Aur tumhe,
Nikal bahar krenge..

‘‘रत्ती ’’  को कितना जानते है हम? रत्ती भर डाटा जाया होगा, इसे पढऩे में 11 दिसंबर,(गुलशन उधम)।   ‘‘रत्ती भर भी अक्ल नही है, उसमें’’ं ।  इस लाइन को अक्सर सुना होगा आपने, अपने किसी बड़े से, दोस्त से या फिल्मों की दुनिया में। डोगरी में भी अक्सर रत्ती शब्द बहुत प्रचलित है। जैसे, ‘‘रत्ती फर्क नी पेया, बुखार दा। ’’  या फिर ऐसे सुना या कहा होगा। ‘‘मासा अक्ल नी, ऐ तीगी। ’’ तो इस तरह हम देखते है कि रत्ती, मासा शब्दों को अक्सर बोलचाल में इस्तेमाल किए जाते है है लेकिन रत्ती शब्द से हमारा मतलब क्या था।  रत्ती माने थोडा। लेकिन कितना थोड़ा? आज हम इसी को समझने की क ोशिश करते है।   ‘‘ रत्ती, माशा , तोला ’’ ये तीनों शब्द भार माप-तोल के इस्तेमाल में लाए जाते रहे है। तोला तो फिर भी सुनाई दे जाता है लेकिन रत्ती और माशा के बारे में जानकारी रत्ती भर ही मिलती है। दरअसल, रत्ती लाल-सुर्ख रंग क े साथ काले रंग का एक बीज है। जिसका प्रयोग भारत में पुराने समय में सोना-चांदी मापने के लिए किया जाता था। जिसकी तस्वीर भी यहां दी गई है। रत्ती भार मापने की सबसे छोटी भारती य इकाई...

एक पल रूके और सोचें, कि आप 25 जनवरी, 1897 के समय में है और पूणे के भीड़ेवाड़ा एक स्कूल के पास खड़े है। जिसे शुरू हुए अभी एक माह ही हुआ है। सिर्फ  छह बच्चें है इस स्कूल में और इसमें सबसे अंचभित बात यह है कि वो छह बच्चें लड़कियंा है और लड़कियों के लिए खोला गया ये आधुनिक भारत का पहला स्कूल है। भीतर आए और जरा देखें, एक शिक्षिका इन बच्चियों को पढ़ा रही है। और आप जानना चाहेंगे कि वह कौन है- सावित्री बाई फूले।  सफर इतना आसान नही रहा है पहली शिक्षिका के जीवन का। रास्ते में अक्सर धर्म के ठेकेदार आरै स्वर्ण जाती के लोग उन पर कूड़ा-कचरा, गोबर आदि फै ंक देते है। इस कारण वे हर रोज दो साडिय़ा लेकर स्क्ूल पहुंचती है ताकि जो साड़़ी खराब हो चुकी है उसे बदल कर छात्राओं को पढ़ाया जा सके। तो इस तरह संघर्ष के बीच में पहले स्कूल की नींव रखी गई थी।
